AUGUST CAMPAIGN FOR REGINA FOOD BANK In support of Access Communications Show N Shine
CAA Saskatchewan has teamed up with Regina businesses to help increase Regina Food Bank (RFB) donations of non-perishable or canned food items. From August 1 to 29, Regina Food Bank donation bins will be set up at the following businesses:
- Pizza Hut: 6310 Rochdale Blvd., 354 Albert Street N., 2525 Quance St., 4505 Albert St. S. (CAA Rewards Partner)
- Auto Electric Service: 1360 Broad Street (CAA Rewards Partner)
- Nimbus Water: 1075 McDonald St. (Show N Shine Sponsor)
- CAA Regina East Store: 2510 East Quance St.
- CAA Regina South Store: 4528 Albert St. South,
- CAA Regina North Store: 200 Albert St.
- CAA Car Care Centre at Regina Battery Depot: 980 Dewdney Ave.
- CAA Administration Offices, 200 Albert St. North
41% of those served by the Regina Food Bank are children. During the summer, many of the food support that kids rely on are not available, and the demand on the Food Bank increases. “Our shelves empty faster as we meet the increased demand of the most vulnerable in our community,” said John Bailey, CEO, Regina Food Bank. “With September approaching and kids going back to school, the need will continue to grow. We are so grateful for the support of CAA and the community businesses for the August campaign during this critical period. We also thank everyone in advance for attending and donating at this year’s Access Communications Show N Shine on September 2nd. The generosity and support from our business partners and the Regina community are truly appreciated.”
CAA Saskatchewan is pleased to be the presenting sponsor of Access Communications Show N Shine. The popular vintage car show, in partnership with Collectors Car Club, is a major fundraiser for the Regina Food Bank. The 13th annual Show N Shine will take place on Labour Day Monday, September 2, 2019 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at Access Park, 2250 Park Street. Show N Shine visitors are invited to stop by the CAA Family Fun Zone near the ball diamond area for face painting, balloon twisting, hourly prize draws, and fresh, cold, water courtesy of Nimbus Water, served in complimentary CAA water bottles.
