The magazine is more than just pages—it’s built around the shared journey of our CAA Members. So, settle in, get inspired and let’s navigate the road ahead together. Here are some highlights:
- Chair’s Letter: Richard Ahenakew, Chair of the CAA Saskatchewan Board of Directors, talks about how your CAA membership is a smart everyday essential.
- Member Stories: Long-time CAA Member, Leah R. sends her thanks for a wonderful day at the Weyburn store grand re-opening. Leah explains how CAA’s customer-first approach stands out in a time when many companies are focused on cutting costs.
- Make Your Food Count: Simple steps can cut household food waste, save money and help the planet.
- Travel Features: 10 Things to Do in Charlottetown, Fall for the Eastern Townships, and Germany’s Hidden Gem’s. Contact a CAA Travel Consultant to learn more at caask.ca/travel.
- Leaf it to Nature: Turn autumn’s colourful castoffs into a goldmine for your garden. Plus, ensure you remove leaves from eavestroughs for your home. For more information on potential water damage to your home and insurance coverage for CAA Members, visit caask.ca/insurance.
- Winter Tire Talk: True of False? Do you switch to winter tires? The majority of Canadians do, with 78 percent saying they make the switch each year, according to a 2025 report by the Tire and Rubber Association of Canada. But do you know why it’s important? Take this quiz and avoid slipping up on these facts about winter tires.
- Last Call for Fall: Fall is short—but spectacular—in Saskatchewan. It’s a great time to get outside and enjoy nature while it’s ablaze in spectacular autumn colours. Whether you’re headed out for a day excursion or one last camping adventure, there’s still time for a motorcycle ride, RV vacation or a day hike—just remember to plan for the weather and pack an extra fleece and a Thermos of hot chocolate. Plan to use your CAA membership for exclusive Member savings and rewards.
- Repairing the World: On the first Saturday of every month, Prince Albert locals bring their broken items to the Prince Albert Repair Café, a community sustainability project located inside the city’s science centre.
- The Big Switch: When fall arrives, the summertime fun toys need to make way for fall and winter playthings and machines. These are things that you rely on to get you through the snowy season, such as snow blowers, snowmobiles and ATVs, not to mention the power plant that runs your ice-fishing hut. Steven Millar, from the CAA Battery Depot, offers expert tips to help you power down from summer fun and gear up for the demands of winter.
- Campus Life Essentials for a Student’s New Home: They’re leaving your nest and off to make their own student pad—help them get set up. Check out the savings through the CAA Rewards® partners, plus remember to add tenant or content insurance. It’s easy to add to an existing policy. Learn more at caask.ca/insurance.
-
Where in the World Contest: You won’t find any double-doubles here, just a one-of-a-kind, seven-metre-tall painted sculpture—the largest of its kind in the world. Think you know where this colossal cup is located? Send us an email to caa.magazine@caask.ca to enter for a chance to win a Pelican 1050 Micro Case, courtesy of CAA Travel.
Last issue’s Where in the World was the Gardiner Dam, south of Cutbank. Congratulations to our winner, CAA Member, Karen Larrivee.
