CAA Saskatchewan is looking for an innovative and curious AI Developer to help shape the future of our digital capabilities. Reporting to the Director, E-Commerce & Analytics, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across technology and the business to explore opportunities for applying AI, automation, and modern web technologies to real-world problems. You will help turn ideas into working solutions, from early discoveries through to delivery and ongoing refinement.

In this role, you'll design, build, and implement AI-powered applications, intelligent automation solutions, and modern web technologies. Whether you're developing new capabilities, integrating AI into existing systems, or exploring emerging technologies, you'll play a key role in delivering practical solutions that support our business and drive continuous innovation.

 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain AI/ML solutions, including models, data pipelines, and automation workflows 
  • Train, test, monitor, and optimize machine learning models across the lifecycle 
  • Support MLOps processes (deployment, versioning, monitoring, and retraining) 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across data pipelines and AI systems 
  • Integrate AI solutions, APIs, and automation into business applications 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement AI-driven improvements 
  • Support development of web applications and AI-powered tools using modern technologies 
  • Develop internal tools, dashboards, and data-driven applications 
  • Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to technical documentation and reviews 
  • Execute testing strategies to ensure quality, accuracy, and reliability 
  • Support deployment, continuous improvement, and Agile delivery processes 
  • Track work using project tools and stay current with emerging AI/ML trends

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering or application development
  • Solid grounding in core software engineering principles and practices
  • Hands-on experience with Django and front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Exposure to AI technologies such as large language models, prompt design, or AI-enabled APIs
  • Familiarity with machine learning tools, frameworks, or related libraries
  • Working knowledge of RESTful services and modern web application architecture
  • Experience working with relational databases and designing data structures
  • Proficiency using Git and collaborative version control workflows
  • Understanding of software delivery processes and engineering best practices across the SDLC
  • Experience operating in Agile or iterative development environments
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills and a continuous learning mindset
