Last Week to Vote for Your Worst, Unsafe Roads for CAA’s 2022 Worst Roads
Saskatchewan road users including motorists, cyclists, motorcyclists, pedestrians, runners and transit users have until April 30th to vote for the worst, unsafe roads they have travelled on. Potholes and crumbling pavement remain as the top issues for nominated worst roads that are not only unsafe, but also cost road users money in repairs. The 2022 Top Ten Worst Roads will be revealed on May 2, 2022.
Here is how to nominate and vote:
- Click caask.ca/worstroads
- Select your road - municipal or provincial - and select a specific segment or section or identify a nearby highway, exit or landmark
- Provide your email address and upload a photo when safe to do so
- Continue to Tell us Why this road is unsafe (select all that apply from the provided menu)
- Submit Vote – road users can vote for more than one road every 24 hours and also as more than one type of road user

- Saskatchewan 47, Springside, SK (#2 in 2018 CAA Top Ten Worst Roads)
- Highway 9, Hudson Bay, SK (#3 in 2021 and #5 in 2018 CAA Top Ten Worst Roads)
- Saskatchewan 155, La Loche, SK (#1 in 2017 CAA Top Ten Worst Roads)
- Circle Drive, Saskatoon, SK
- Saskatchewan 5, Buchanan, SK
- Grant Drive, Regina, SK (#6 in 2021 and #8 in 2019 CAA Top Ten Worst Roads)
- 4th Avenue Viaduct S.W., Moose Jaw, SK

CAA Worst Roads Roving Reporter Dale Edward Johnson continues to provide updates and streeter interviews with road users on past nominated CAA Worst Roads. Today, Johnson reports from Saskatoon’s 20th Street West which was #9 in CAA’s 2021 Top Ten Worst Roads. Later this week, Johnson will share updates via CAA’s social media channels, on Highway 9, Hudson Bay which currently is #3 and was #3 in the 2021 and #5 in the 2018 CAA Top Ten Worst Roads.

Since the start of this year’s campaign on April 6th, Johnson has reported from nominated worst roads including Regina’s Grant Drive and 8th Avenue North, Highway 33 near Kronau, Highway 9 near Canora and Highway 3, Hudson Bay. Johnson’s stand up reports and streeter interviews are ready for viewing on CAA Saskatchewan’s YouTube Channel.
CAA Worst Roads is an online engagement campaign aimed at drawing attention to our province’s worst, unsafe roads. At the end of the campaign, the top ten worst roads list will be distributed to government and business leaders in hopes of sparking conversation and action. Working towards safer roads for all road users is a priority for CAA Saskatchewan.
